Yes, indeed Singapore is a friendly, multi-racial country! I love living in Singapore and I really think nowhere can be compared as safe, clean & peaceful like our homeland!

Apart from that, wonderful multi-racial cultures bring many races closer together and of course that comes with the wide varieties of good food that make up delicious cuisines!!!

yes it is. Singaporeans are all generally colour blind when it comes to race.

constant effort from the Government to promote multi-racialism and tolerance is one reason. racial riots have occurred in the country's past before which lead to the current Government and citizens making an effort to prevent such tragedies from ever occurring again. also, Singapore's uniqueness lie in her melting pot of cultures and rich heritage. this is advantageous in promoting tourism.

it helps that everyone enjoys celebrating so many public holidays too. we celebrate Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali, Christmas and many other festivities.

Singaporean are born to live in a multi-racial society. The housing rule work in the way that there are always a mixture of different races in all public housing estate. You can pick up any Singaporean on the street, they will have friends, colleagues or neighbours are different race from them.

Yes.

I went to school there and we had over 40 differnent nationalities.

I think it's because people didn't stay there long and it was one of those place were people just moved to and moved out of. I had friends moving in and out of the country every year. People usually stayed for a year or two and moved.

Try not to think of people in term of different races. Enough blood have been shed and many misguided policies introduce by Govt as a result. Generally, Singaporeans are friendly and you will enjoy your stay here.
