I am 13 and don't have much pubic hair and very little if any facial hair. Some people in my classes think I am very inmature for my age and people often think that I am only 8.

Boys usually start puberty when they're around 10 or 12 years old, though some start a little sooner and others a little later. The changes happen because the body releases several different hormones. The first sign is that the testicles get bigger. Within a year or so after that, the penis gets larger, and pubic hair begins to grow.

Puberty doesn't happen all at once — it happens in stages. So a guy may show some signs of puberty at an early age (like a voice that's starting to crack), but may not show other signs of puberty until he is much older (like growing facial hair). It can actually take until a guy is 20 years old for all the changes to take place.

So, don't worry, ur pretty normal =) I was a late bloomer as well...didn't start puberty until I was 16!! I am now 18 and i catched up with all my friends ;-) I look a year older than them now!! so just relaaaax =)

Oh, btw, just because you don't have facial hair, it doesn't mean you are less mature than your friends! Personally, i love baby-faced guys!

Yes, you are normal. Do not despair as this will soon work in your favor. I was much like you and it too concerned me at your age. I am now 50 and for most of my life I have looked 20 years younger then my chronological age. It also has translated into my physical health. I am often told by doctors that I have the body and health of a 30 year old. Add, to the fact that I eat good, nutritious foods, take care of myself and work out . Most of the women you will meet at this young age do not appreciate a wise and mature man anyway, so again wait it out. You have a long a healthy life ahead of you. Myself, this works to my advantage as I can knock it out like nobodies business, have always been able to and I see no reason why I won't be raiding the nursing homes when I am 80. Good luck.

Don't worry about it. Everyone progresses at their own rate. Life isn't a contest and no one's waving a checkered flag at certain points. Enjoy it while you can. When you finally get the facial hair, you'll understand why. Shaving everyday is one of the most annoying things in life.
