Don't flatter yourself. Gay guys like intelligent dudes.

I think the term to not be so stupid and narrow minded comes straight to mind.

What do you assume you flat mate is going to do to you?

I am assuming that your flat mate trusted you enough to come out to you. The fact you are having issues with this shows more ignorance on your behalf. I am assuming your flat mate is male. If your flat mate had been female and told you the same thing would you have reacted in the same way.

Locking a door is saying I have a problem and will no doubt be noticed.

As a gay man I have lived with several straight people.
There has never been the subject of locked doors in the home if one needed privacy a door was closed.
I currently live with one straight female and another gay male and we have never even considered locking our doors from each other. However this may be due to a deep rooted friendship and trust.
I think the tips to give you is to realise your flat mate is not going to come on to you and over come your mind set over his sexuality or you will create a very un harmonious household.

First thing, haven't you ever thought that your flatmates trusted you by saying so and that he just didn't want to lie about himself?
Second thing, what do you think he might do to you? you know, I've got a theory that has proved true so far: most of the people who suddenly feel wary of gay people and fancy they might attract them are not that straight. A straight man who really knows he is straight can't be bothered with locking his bedroom while there is a gay man in the flat.
Food for thought, so use your brain!

You are obviously not the adventurous type are you?

Real men climb mountains, go bungee jumping, ride powerful motorcycles, drive too fast, get wrecked in the pub, assault policemen, beat each other up, fight over the next conquest; all you can do is worry about something 6 inches long and an inch wide.

Don't be sad.......give it whirl.

You may or may not enjoy it, but I can promise you that you'll never forget it!

How long have you guys lived together, has he ever done anything inappropriate in the past? Other than treating him like a girl you're not interested in don't change a thing, he's still the same guy as he was before you knew.

When a co-worker unfortunately was bending over to get something he popped back up so I wouldnt see his pathetic flat ***. I just laughed cuz some guys think in our eyes they are the f*cking Bomb. Gay but not desperate. I recommend getting a buttplug so you can protect yourself from a unwanted entry.

Oh, if you're so insecure, how about buying a mobile cage for all times of the day to keep your gay roommate at bay? Or try wearing iron underwear with a lock. If that doesn't seem to work, get a sexual reassignment surgery for yourself... women feel more secure in the company of gay men.

And if all of this is of no use to you... accept his orientation, and be his friend.

nicely imagine about it... in case you lock your door at evening, your protecting the monsters/stalkers and stuff out proper? yet, in case you lock your door at evening and someone comes into the widow or is in there already OR if a fires starts off of something, your definitely locking your self in... bizarre Eh?

Why lock your bedroom door.? My flatmates know i am gay but they dont lock their doors. Was he your friend before he told you. He is still the same person and he doesnt have to pretend anymore. Give him credit for that.
I would be more concerned about your reaction.......

Don't hang out with him after hours. Don't hang out with him after hours and get drank. Don't watch pay-per-view porno with him, not even good ole american girl on girl action :) (or any movie for that matter). Don't leave your bathroom door open. Don't ask him how it is like being gay. Don't tell him about the problems you're having with your girlfriend amd what kind of sex you have with her. And, if you can, try praying loudly at night and speaking in tongues. That would totally put him off of you :).
