Do you have a counter weight to balance out the tennis ball?
Launch at 45 degrees and increase the amount of the launching arm, and elastic material.

A trebuchet will launch the ball farther than a catapult... add wheels to the trebuchet and let it launch freely, this will allow the counterweight to fall straight and launch the tennis ball farther...

You should launch it at 45 degrees. It should also have a longer sling so that it can fly longer. Try to use a lighter tennis ball too.

You intend to throw a projectile. The range is maximum when the angle of projection is 45 degrees. So, build a catapult and project it at 45 degrees.

look how the romans built their catapults without a sling. If you built it the same way, you'll bring the tennis ball even more than 100 feet apart from the catapult. Franky

try increasing the length of the launching arm n the elastic material..........most importantly launch at about 45 degrees with the horizontal ground so that it gets max. range.gud luck
