NBA and WNBA finals?

Do you think in the future that the team who wins the finals(NBA and WNBA) will have a faceoff(males against females)? If so, do you think it'd be a good idea? Also, anybody else ever wonder about that?

I don't think a head to head game will ever happen between the NBA and WNBA. The height difference alone makes it unfair, as the NBA players average almost a full foot taller. Then you add the athleticism, and it's not fair at all. Plus, you have to factor the different size basketballs in each league. While I don't think it would take much for either set of players to adjust, it would take time to get used to the other ball. The last factor that makes it unfair is that the NBA and WNBA seasons happen at different times of the year. So when the NBA players are sharp, the WNBA players are in the off-season. And vice versa. So one team would be rusty, no matter when you choose to have the game.

I could see a skills competition between the two leagues. That is about the only way to level the playing field. If that were the case, the women might win since overall the WNBA players have better fundamentals than the NBA players. Kind of like how WNBA players actually pass! ;)

Will never happen. Men's basketball and women's basketball are two different games. Most WNBA players when asked always say that nothing would come of matching up against the NBA.

The reality is that men and women are physically not equal. At the professional level, men will always be taller, stronger, and faster. I'm not saying this to take anything away from women players.

The women have their own league and their own game that they excel at. Why should they try to play a game outside their own. I wish people would stop trying to say that women's basketball and men's basketball is the same and that the women need to play like the men. The women are doing just fine their way. They've made the game their own and shouldn't have to be held to some standard that only a few hundred men can play at.

I don't think it is a good idea. No offense but I don't think the WNBA players can play in the same level as the NBA players simply becos there is always a difference between men and women. It will also be awkward for the men as there will be lots of unavoidable contacts.
