My daughter told me today that she saw a fight in school where 2 girls were fighting another girl in the hallway and they pulled her shorts and panties right off her in front of a bunch of other students. Why is it all i hear about is girls humiliating one another instead of getting along?

Because they are jealous of other girls because they get the boys that they like. Because they are very immature.
Because they aren't taught at home to treat others with respect.

I teach highschool and I have 2 little girls of my own and I have a theory...
Boys/men are like dogs. They are pack animals. They work well as a team as long as one establishes dominance in the group. They function the best when they know who is in charge or what the "pecking order" is.
Girls/women are like cats. They are territorial in nature and will challenge other girls who invade their area. Girl roommates seem to always have "issues" with each other and watch out if you have 3 together! 2 will always be trying to nudge out the 3rd.
Just a theory, mind you...but women seem a lot more complicated when it comes to realtionships than men. That is why I think they know that humiliation and embarassment is such a strong weapon.
Girls can be mean and vindictive. That's why I get along with men better, they are less difficult and complex! Usually what you see is what you get with a man.

Not all girls are like that. The ones your daughter observed are extremely immature. The most insecure ones are usually the ones trying to "one up" or "humiliate" other girls. They need a hard thwack on the back of the head and have someone adult/school official/cute boy the offender has a crush on rip them a new one in front of everyone. Reduce them to tears and see if it ever happens again. Unlikely it will.

I am not sure why, but yes its getting very popular. i saw this happen at my school too where a gang of girls beat up another girl because she was dating a guy she liked. and ofcourse she had to pull her pants off in the fight to humiliate her. when guys fight they just fight, but girls feel the need to humiliate other girls probably to impress the guys more. especially if it means making them show their bare boobs or other private parts. i hear and see alot of it these days.

I noticed too that teenager girls are very mean. I don't really know the answer, but i guess it's the female envy that Freud mentioned so much
