Originally in many folktales and older more Nature based religons. The dragon represented wisdom, power, and the raw strength of nature. Christianity, as with so many things form other religons, demonized them...representing them as evil serpents and monsters beholden to the devil. I this way they sought to turn people away from older and "heretical" religous belies and convert them to chritianity.

In the bible when the end is near it talks about a dragon wich represents Japan and an woman with eagle wings which represents United States and the dragon had five heads and upon each head set five crowns and there would be a great war between the dragon and the eagle in which no one would win beacuse it would be the signal for the end time. But in general I myself am a christian and have never heard that we hate dragons so this is the only thing i knew because it was in revolations in the bible.

Satan was descibed in the bible as a dragon and St. George and St. Michael are depicted slaying dragons. Reptiles are used to symbolise our lower nature that must be kept down by our higher nature. This idea was taken too far by early christians. The serpent symbolises the kundalini energy (the paganism that was suppressed), when we raise the kundalini through the sun and moon channels and the chakras we give the serpent wings. The dragon is the winged serpent, one of the most magical creatures.

1: I think it is a non-issue for most Christians. Those those who do or have, it has to do with the serpent and "deomic" imagery.

2: Serpent, Garen of Eden. evil in disguise. It is also a "lowly creature of the earth" ascending on wings, there is a symbolic aspect of it violating heaven.

3: Christians have also hated wolves, pork, shaving, any just about anything else at some point. Don't stress over it.

what makes you think Christians hate dragons? I don't think they worry about them to much at all. I know i don't. Since the question is based on a non-existant condition there is no reason. Dragons are from mythology, I think the idea was that they would destroy villages with their firey breath, so a brave knight would go forth to destroy the dragon and win the hand of the princess as his reward. That has absolutely NOTHING to do with religion at all

None of the Christians I know have a problem with dragons.

In days gone by, when people took dragons seriously, they apparently resembled the Beast from the book of Revelations which represented evil. This is somewhat in contrast to the luck bringing Chinese dragons.

1. NOT ALL CRISTIAN'S...TRY ME.

2. some still have ignorance about the devil and dragons I mean just look at them. some don't think they exist, I do but not with Powers or any of that, just as a normal animal that stumbled on fire and could fly.

I love dragons and if they exist then I see them as another one of God's animals.

now I see the devil as a business man who knows the market and will screw you over badly lol
