how the word 'politics' is made up of the words 'poli' meaning 'many' in Latin, and 'tics' as in 'bloodsucking creatures’?

In norwegian, the same word is used for 'married' as is for 'poison'.

Not a lot of people know that........

Actually poli refers to classification of plants, as in pollen. It is Latin but you mean poly which is Latin for many. So I don't find it funny, it just really, really confuses me, cannot compute, head exploding, danger, danger................

I've also noticed that, like Evian being naive backwards, Volvic is "Civlov" backwards.

(Civ being latin for water and lov being Greek for valve).
