A lot of websites actually put their hands up to not working with Firefox. There was a time when developers took the time and trouble to make sure their product was Opera, Firefox and Netscape compatible but these days they just go with the market leader IE.

Some web sites require internet explorer to run properly....
Here is an add on that will allow fire fox to load those pages....

If you want it to work in different browsers, use XHTML as apposed to HTML.
