I heard 4 or 5. I hope it is 5 or even 6, whats the official line on this?

Noone is certain but JJ said he's original concept for the show would last about 5 seasons.

Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are trying for 100 episodes. Of course, convincing ABC to let the show end there may be difficult. ABC doesn't care about the quality of a show, they only care about the money and if Lost is still a huge hit 2 years from now, they may not be ready to let the show go.

I have heard five seasons and I have heard seven seasons.
I hope its five.
It used to be three seasons, but when Lost took off in Season One the network extended them to five (or seven) seasons.

they say 5 and that the ending has already been decided however they might try to milk it and make a 6th or maybe they'll con us and when flying off that island theyll crash on anoter then start again, who knows but i heard 5
