There are no known ways to study the philosophy of a man or humans. Simply because we are all created so different in so many ways such as the way we think and behave, our color, our beliefs, culture, traditions...the list goes on. The best philosophy of man should be to respect the difference in the other and enjoy the diversity of this world to its fullest.

man is the only animal to philosophise as far as we know, so try "a history of western philosophy" by bertrand russel then go in whichever direction you find interesting from there. once you feel you have got an overview of the subject you will be able to study the philosophy of "a man" by reading his works and fitting them into the larger tradition he is trying to make them a part of.

note!!! - the male prononun is used for ease of expression and brevity, not because philosophy needs to be done by men.
