I have no idea if they do or not.... I need to know them and more of the story and details before having an answer for this one either way. why dont you ask Joe and his mother this question and see what they have to tell you about it.

i think that her mother understood her well.i think that her mother also understood the times they were living in and knew that this women was limited in her choices .she was like a caged bird who had to be set free to make her own mistakes and choices.great book
