Excessive saliva, chewing on anything and everything, loose acidic stools, pink rosy cheeks are all indicators of teething, and your baby will crawl when s/he is good and ready, 6 months is still quite young to be crawling, just make sure s/he has the freedom to explore their surroundings, and before you know it you will be tearing around after him/her!!

There are lots of teething symptons, running pooh, red cheeks, snuffly nose/ mild cold , can't sleep , off food, acidy wee, rubbing gums, ear infection........

all of which can be probs on their own and nothing to do with teeth! It's really hard but when a tooth comes through you kinda go - oh thats why we've had a week of no sleep!! - etc..

Millie (1 tomorrow) was showing signs of 'teething' from about 4 mths but didn't actually get a tooth til she was almost 10 mths.

As for crawling , a big mirror in front of them but out of reach, and put their feet up against the bottom of the sofa or cupboard or something similar, helps them push forwards.

Good luck x

Those are definitely the signs of teething... to releive his gums, put a dry baby washcloth in the freezer and then let him munch on it until it gets warm. It will be soothing but not too cold to hold.

as for the crawling, lay on the floor across from him just out of reach (or put a favorite toy there) and the interest will (hopefully) drive him to scoot, squirm or wiggle towards you- eventually he will figure out how to crawl. But be carful -they usually go backwards first! Its a riot!
