Permethrin cream (5%) which is prescription strength. Non-prescription strength is only 1% and sufficient to treat lice.
All close contacts of a person with scabies should also be treated at the same time, even if they aren't showing symptoms yet.
Since the mites can live for 48-72 hours on clothing, bedding, towels, etc., should be washed in hot water and then dried in a hot dryer. Things that can't be washed can be placed in a plastic bag for a few weeks to make sure the mites have died. Furniture and carpeting should also be vacuumed carefully.

I got scabies when I was little. It was HELL. My mom tried all kinds of homeopathic remedies on me for 4 months before she finally took me to a doctor.
My hippie girlfriends came back from following the dead and some people had them. I was worried so I went to the dermaltologist ($35-50) and got a prescription ($20).
Go to a dermatologist! ASAP

HiKing Kirby Kirt L!
Wants only to add: The most common egg-laying places on your body are on sides of your finger, between the fingers, on the back of your hands, wrists, heels, elbows, armpits, inner thighs and around your waist line. If this egg-laying process is not stopped the female mite may continue to lay egg for next five weeks which can be very dangerous. People who have a weak immune system fall victim to this condition. You suffer intense itching in night which covers most parts of your body. You develop these symptoms within 4-6 weeks of infestation. These cannot be seen with naked eyes but with the help of a magnifying glass.
Once you know that you are infected with Scabies you can try a Sauna and get yourself washed with lice shampoo
1. To prevent any further infestation get all your clothes, towels, bedding laundered
2. Keep checking yourself every couple of months to prevent infestation
3. Keep fingernails cut short for infants who may try to spread the condition unknowingly
4. Avoid treating scabies with hard soaps, kerosene, laundry and detergent
5. Chemicals like permethrin, Benzyl benzoate emulsion, Malathion, and Sulfur are also used commonly for treating this infestation.

And visit your doctor, it may be it is necessary.

make a paste of neem oil, turmeric, and black walnut powder. This is staining, so you will want to wear black garments where every you have them. Rub this paste everwhere you itch, and then some. Neem oil alone will work and is non-staining, but the turmeric and black walnut are particularly toxic to the scabies. Neem smells like burnt garlic, and the staining can be kind of fun... if you are dark skinned, it won't make much difference, but if you are caucasian, it will turn you basically yellow.

You have to get a prescription for your doctor. It should be a lotion that you put on your skin. Good Luck!
ps. you're going to have to wash everything in your house. Also, get a spray bottle, fill it with 1 part bleach, 9 parts water and then spray things down in your house before you go to bed. We use that at my workplace to kill germs and such on the furniture and couch and whatnot.
