I think that, according to our nature, which is shaped by our experiences, it would be possible to map put what a person was going to do/ be. But it all depends on being true to your self and what ou want out of life. You can't just sit by the sidelines and wait for life/ fate to plop it into your lap, but a divine figure could easily figure out what you were going to do/ be, if you want to believe in that stuff.

I do not know if there is a destiny or not but then I believe there is always scope for creativity.
Yes, we can always change the path of our life. Our life is very much shaped by our thoughts so if we are going to keep them positive & strong then so will be our life.
We go on a certain course of our life when we start taking it as our destiny & surrender to it & do not make an effort to look for options. If destiny is the only truth then what are dreams for ? And dreams do come true.

It's not that any particular life course is mapped out for us.
Every possible course that we might take is mapped out for us. It is the limitations on our choices that restrict us to a certain outcome that is predestined.
We have a dizzying array of choices within the given parameters. This array of choices and all of the possible outcomes of these choices are what is predestined, but all of the possible choices lead us to the same eventual conclusion. We may procrastinate for as many lifetimes as we wish, but all roads no matter how circuitous eventually lead home.
Love and blessings Don

No. I don't think your life is "mapped out" in minute detail. I think we each have a destiny (mine is to be an artist) that we should follow but we still make our own decisions and choices in life.

Sometimes you must try things that you are not sure of in order to discover just what you are sure of. you may hurt others or maybe even yourself in the process, but time truly does heal all wounds. trust the path in which you have chosen for yourself, but fear not wandering off it, in fact, embrace it, that's how we discover new things. all of our paths are intertwined, and you will meet many dead ends, but rest assured you will not be alone in these fruitless indevors, because we are all just as lost as the next person. there is no map for the maze that is life, it wouldnt be possible, because with each death, a path breaks off, and with each new birth, a path begins to unfold. walk with others on their path, and get to know their ways, teach them some of your own.we're all in this together, and we are all the product of one another. as the flesh of our fathers seeps through the soil, it is recycled and becomes that which nourishes us, it becomes you and i we are merely pieces of everything and everyone we have ever came in contact with, our unique and true self is the glue in which we hold the pieces together with, and the way in which we present them to the world. be kind to your brothers and sisters of the maze, you never know when you may need their guidance.
in other words- there is no REAL order or map in life, there are trails that were traveled by those before you, but you choose where you go, what you do, who you do it with and all that stuff, but we need each other to navigate through the maze that is life, for support and what not

I feel we are set on a course (map) and the choices we make take us to different ascepts of that journey.
Yet- that is why the lessons of life keeps being repeated until its learned and accepted. Much like getting stuck in the mud over and over again.

I don't think it is mapped out in great detail.
The only thing certain is that every life ends with death.
How you get to that end is the individual's choice.

no, fate destiny, whatever you want to call it, are a rationalisation for something you either decided you wanted, or decided you wanted to be able to put up with in my humble opinion.
