My mac is brand new. I've downloaded both aim and Frostwire. Question now is, how many songs will I be able to download on my mac if I have 1 GB?
Of course, i'm not looking for an exact number. But let's say the average song is 6,000 kb, give me a range on how many songs i'd be able to store on my comp, please.

It should hold approx 240 songs.

Song capacity is based on 4 minutes per song and 128-Kbps AAC encoding; actual capacity varies by content.

a megabyte is 1024 Kilobytes, and a gigabyte is 1024 megabytes.
One gb isn't going to hold very much at all.It will hold less than 1/2 as much data a a single DVD and only about three times the data of a single CD.
I would certainly invest in a larger drive. If you shop around you can find a 100 gigabyte on sale for $30 - $35.If your Mac is brand new are you sure it only has one gb? I bought my PC 4 yrs ago and it has an 80 gb hard drive.
