I haven't been fired the same day I started a job but I have quit a couple of jobs before the first day was over!

Not lost it, but walked out on it, yes. It was my first day on the job, and I was being yelled at for something I didn't even do - how ridiculous is that? So I told them I was just fetching my lunch from the car - got into my car, and drove home.

No not me. But my hubby quit a job the first day he started it at his coffee break, lol. It turned out it was a job cleaning limos (he didn't know that when they hired him) and he said it was the most disgusting thing. Cleaning out limos after people have puked in them, spilled booze all over, etc. He couldn't stand the smell so he walked away. Can't say I blamed him.

No, you would have to do something really bad to lose you job on the day you started, like tell where boss to go, or burn building down.

Sort of. I worked a full shift training at a restaurant and after that night I just never went back. Something happened while I was working that really freaked me out and I though it was some sort of 'sign' that I wasn't supposed to work there. I wasn't fired or anything.

NO...OMG...that would be sad...I have heard of it though...a cousin was dating this guy....whose sister started working at IHOP as a cook...& set the kitchen on fire...she was fired too...

after giving her a great reference...my friend only lasted one shift...something to do with her boyfriend abusing my boss after he found out how much we got paid per hour...needless to say i quit that job not long after...
