I hope you are not expecting to find allegations of paedophilia against J.M. Barrie..............although I'm sure someone will bring that up.

One of the boys he was close to, Nico, absolutely denied that there was ever anything improper in the relationship when he was asked as an adult. There is no evidence for anything other than a normal friendship whatsoever.

Barrie retained the child-like attitude that many writers have, and that most of us lose when we "grow up".

well where to begin...Berry had a lot of childhood trama.
His oldest brother died at a young age.(mother's favorite) His mother grieved constantly..refused to get out of bed...refused to take care of..moreorless acknowledge Berry.
J.M. even tried to assume his dead brother's identity in hopes that his mother would show an ounce of love/concern for him.
The boy that never grew up wasn't berry..but his dead older brother. That is where the notion of peterpan came from

So when Berry grew up he naturally saw women as mothers/nurtures instead of sexual objects for his pleasure.
that isn't to say that he wasn't an adult..nor wasn't sexual or didn't have sexual thoughts..
the original peterpan concept was a theather piece which was full of sexual details. Tigerlillie was basically a tramp..etc.

J.M. Berry is often seen in the company of children..but that doesn't make him a pedophile...he was more like johney depp. Enjoyed having fun..being a kid without all the pressures of the adult world...
