My sister has just confided in me that she is having an affair with her boss to make more money. I don't know how I should take it! What do you suggest?

Well, it's your sisters life and with affairs it's hard to deal with! She obviously is a big girl and will learn on her own what this type of "relationship" will bring her! If he is cheating on his wife...then who's to say he won't cheat on her! I suggest your sister get regular "check ups" to make sure that she stays safe from all disease. I would however speak with her and tell her your concerns, but leave it at that!

It's very unlikely she's getting more money out of it. If she's recently been given a raise, then I bet she was underpaid to start with and she's now been put on the same as everyone else, and he's told her that to try to get some, if you know what I mean. If she hasn't yet received anything, then it's all empty promises and she's never going to get any more money. The main reason is that the boss won't want everyone to find out, so she will not get any special treatment AT ALL.

So what I would probably do is just point out to her that it is a futile exercise, rather than dissing her personally, e.g. telling her that she is a slapper and has no morals.

I'm not going into details about how I know all this. But I do.

I suggest you put a tinnny bit more detail in your question, but I suppose that's too late. It's such a typical situation: sleeping with your boss for more money. "Confided in you." For what? Is she embarrassed? Does she want to stop? Heh, nevertheless I'd anonymously report it; don't give up too many details though. It's your sister by the way; talk to her. She knows what she's doing is wrong, but what I'd like to know is if she enjoys it... Sleeping with someone for money... Seems like she's "ho"ing herself out. Remind her (in a nice, calm sisterly way) that she's acting like a whore.

Or let it be, and let her get the gold. Just because she's playing the role, doesn't mean she IS one.

It makes it easier to keep the job in the short run, in the long run he may get fed up of her and turn her job out for someone else in the crudest way due to the nature of their relationship. If it is the only way to keep her job then she needs to make a few decisions, ethics are very important, should something start the wrong way it will finish the wrong, is she not concerned about diseases???

to be honest there isnt much that you can do realy but does your sister realise that she is basically selling her body which is never good but in the long wrong she is the only one who can decided to stop this affair just tell her how this makes you feel im sure she wil understand your concerns for her and come to her senses

This is gonna end in tears, if the office find out everyone will be talking about her and what if he wants to end the relationship? She'd probably have to leave her job and that cant be good, its up to her what she does with her life but I think this is a bad idea.

if you truely love your sister give her a manly advice. what shes doin now is 100% wrong, it was a big mistake having an affair to his immediate boss.

you make ur sister understand , that this is not good and atlast she may end up as a looser. boss will take advantage of ur sister.that is why now it is better u should disclose these facts to your parents or elder. Then they will take care of it , u don't have to worry.
Just dare and go tell ur parents about these.

Is it really a problem, let her make her own mistakes, she'll only resent you having an attitude, it is her life to live..

Just be there for her when it goes wrong..

As her sibling you get to express your opinion.
If she takes it,great.
If not, at least you told her how you feel.
Other than that there's nothing you can do about it unless you want her as an enemy.
