I want to preserve my laptop battery while I normally have it plugged to the AC. Instead of taking out the battery from my laptop, is there anything in the device manager to disable so my battery isn't charging while plugged to the AC? It seems Microsoft should invent something to give you the option to charge or not while using the AC.

when your laptop is plugged into the AC your battery only charges and your laptop is powered by the AC once your battery is fully carge the mains adapter doesnt bother it just keeps powering your laptop, you will only start to use your battery when you unplug the AC.

Charging stops while while the battery reaches one hundred%, there is not any reason to unplug it. Your laptop has circuitry that reads the fee point and prevents the charging while this is finished, activates the charging while the battery drops under one hundred%.

still on about the battery.
