It's what's called a Lie group that describes symmetries between mathematical entities based on certain transformations (functions). All the elementary particles in physics can be described using simpler Lie groups. It means if you start with one of the elements in the group and work on it with a certain formula, you get another element of the group.

It is a grade. A1 means excellent. A2 means very good. B3 means good. B4 means not too bad. C5 means improvement required. C6 means a lot of improvement required. D7 means fail. E8 means fail quite badly. F9 means fail very badly. U means complete failure.
