2 years ago my husband lost his job by redundency, from the Rover here in the uk,and i was working in my local post office, we lost everything, our house we couldn't afford the morgage on my earnings, our cars just couldn't aford to run them, we had to sell our house next to nothing before out cort date, we have 2 children and we all went to see if we could get a council house in our town they just told us we had to go on the homeless list, and put into a hostal and we could even be split up, they told us what little we made on the house to put down on private renting and thats where we are now, we even had to borrow of family , i had to give up working because we would have to earn over 1 and a half thousand pounds to cover the costs to live here, we just can't aford to go out to work even though we want to , we have never before clamed any kind of benifits if the council gave us a house it would save the government loads,so why will no one help us, what is going on?

Here we go again, a hardworking couple buy a house but their dreams of the future are wrecked by her husbands redundancy.
Unable to afford the motgage repayments they are forced to sell the house, and instantly in the eyes of Blair's Socialist Police State of Great Britain, they are judged to be capitalists, and denied housing.
Any riff-raff, or non tax paying refugee will be given preference over them, and should this couple's marriage collapse under the strain, they will recieve no help whatsoever.
This expence fiddling slither of a slime that infest parliament have betrayed the English Nation.
But there will be a day of retribution and they will be called to account, and that day draws ever nearer, hour by hour...

That truly is a very unfortunate story- but unfortunately not an unusual one.
It is a tragic indication of how the nation is being run by an Ideological elite, for the benefit of a select few- and definitely with an undercurrent of European Union secession.
Your story highlights the plight of many as Britain has been increasingly privatised and outsourced to other nations- to the detriment of ALL people residing in Britain.
Furthermore in unfortunately illustrates how your type is considered superfluous to Brown and Blair's notion of the ideal 'Mondeo man ' demographic they so desire.
I strongly encourage you to find work- however menial- preferably cash-based so Mr Brown doesn't see it (and why should he- it is but a minuscule trifle). Try your local job agencies- and perhaps even try door-knocking. Self-employment perhaps, as some form of commonly required vocation such as a cleaner- which may be demeaning but it does help with the bills.
Hopefully you can gradually get yourselves back on your feet again.
Long term, the government and welfare situation is going to discriminate further against your kind.
I suggest you help change your nation for the better by voting BNP- the party that has a true affection and affinity for the oppressed British people. I will and proudly.
Best of luck.
PS- if you have anything other than a rudimentary knowledge of economics and statistics (which I do as part of my work)- you'd realise that Employment statistics are very much dictated by what defines 'employment'. All Western nations have seen a growing casualisation (undesired by their populace) which is legitimised by governments attempting to paint a rosy picture for investors which in term has lead to an artificial re-definition of 'employment'.
We now have LESS full-time work and MORE part-time or casual and unreported employment than ever previously. The situation economically in actuality- is WORSE NOW than under Thatcher- there is now completely NO protection for native industry, workers or full-time employment. Then there was unemployment- but the employed were working FULL time- not full employment of a casualised workforce.

Bureaucracy This government has made more rules and laws, and employs political correct idiots to police them and if anyone dares mention common sense then no doubt they would be sent of for retraining.( at massive expense)
If you ask the question of the PM he would form a committee, who would appoint a sub committee , who would then be able to form a working party, to employ time & motion people to see if you would be better treated. All this at a cost of thousands of pounds.
If they gave to you the soulution to your temtery problem in the first place the cost would have no doubt been fractional, but that would involve common sence so therefore must be dismissed as subversive. Try telling them you are form the middle east and wish to claim asylum that seams to be the best way to get the help you obviousley need i dont think UK folks qualify for the upper rates of benifit

This is a terrible story and my heart goes out to you.
The reason is complex, and a National disgrace, brought about by greed and self interest on behalf of those who are meant to be looking after the wellbeing of our Country, its population, industry, social welfare, healthcare, law & order and security. The Government.
Rover was closed because investment in it did not fit into the Governments strategy of importing as much as possible from Countries like China in order to boost the now record profits of the Banks.Imports mean exchange of currency, which brings profits to the Banks, these profits would not be generated if we had investment in British industry.Hence the refusal of the Government to embrace the Euro, wherby we would enjoy cheaper goods from Europe but the Banks would forfiet their profit.
Consumerism is insane with people borrowing more and more on their credit cards to buy imports, boost the Banks profits and through VAT and duty the Treasurys coffers,it is no co-incidence that as the Banks anounce record profits the consumer watchdogs announce record debt.
Look around you,how many products in your household are Made in China? Each one represents another nail in the coffin of the Nations welfare and supports Chinese industry , bringing about further decimation of British industry.
Its no consolation to you but we are all in the same boat, check out the state of the NHS, Police, Schools,Elderly Care,Prisons the evidence is indefensible, the Government look after their own, the rest of us are just a necessary nuisance.
Sadly you and your family are innocent casualties of this injustice, I hope you soon find your feet again and the near future brings you security, prosperity and a return for all the money over the years that you have contributed towards the system which is so badly failing you now, in favour of bogus claimants.
Good luck.

I often wonder why the Govt. departments and staff never purchased Rover cars.
You will not see a British or German car in the French police.
I bought a Rover because it is English and gave our people a job but I never had even one person at work with me that had one. Go to France and see what they drive, then look in your high street,Surprise, a French car. It is our fault that Rover went down because we won't buy British.
As for redundancy, it happened to me two years ago at 62 years old and I still have not claimed a thing. One must just lower ones expectations and go for things once considered below oneself

It is a shame that Rover went Bankrupt and lots of people lost their jobs, but that is not the fault of the government.
We have a welfare state - it is not brilliant, but it is better than in most other countries.
It then becomes the responsibility of the individual to find another job. There are benefits and training whilst you are looking, but again, it is not up to the government to find you a job and the levels of unemployment are much lower than previous years. I know that the goverment has fudged the figurs somewhat, but so did the tories, and despite that, the levels are still beter than 10 years ago.

Next time you go to see anybody from the council or government, where a full Muslim dress, they will be so worried not to offend you, they will give you a house and car so you do not take any PC action.
This county seems to be pandering to the minority and not the voting majority and they wonder why the people have no faith in the government.
I hope everything works out okay for you and you are soon back on your feet.

im sorry to hear your predicament, believe me ive been there and know how you feel. Its a sad fact that the government falls over itself to house immigrants before its own citizens. I have no idea why though!
