I do it all the time. I don't like the way a dream is going and its like I'm a director, screen writer, actor. I change it to suit what I need the story to tell and re-do scenes and whatnot.

Ty Pavic for inspiring my question

yes, I have that types of dreams all the time... I can "think" my dreams and turn the actions in which direction I want. But I love most other types of dreams, two of them actually, the first ones I call them "revelatory dreams", they usually mean that they are continuing my daily life, but help me understand more what went wrong / right about a situation or a person and give me a solution to a certain thing (they are a bit surreal, I know, but they are very effective, I've actually realized such amazing things about the people around me in my dreams, that sometimes I think my conscious life is just a strange "add" to my "asleep life"). The others, however, are even more weird. I tend to dream events that will happen in my life after years... for example, I dreamed about articles or people I was supposed to write or meet much later in my life. Sometimes I just sit at my computer and say to myself "ahh, I dreamed about this sentence before!". I was really frightened at first by this, but I've come to deal with it. It just happens... and it must be for a reason. I don't believe much in paranormal activities, but these dreams of mine remind me that there are things above our conscience that are... simply out there:)

No, I don't think I've ever gotten that to work and it usually backfires and makes my dream more messed up. I used to try to do that as a child and every time I allowed myself to become aware that I was dreaming and try to change things, the ground below my feet (in the dream) would start to fall apart and I'd have to start running. My dreams are very vivid and I remember them all but I can't control them. Sometimes I know I'm dreaming but all I can do is go along with what is happening.

What I can do is choose the 'topic' that I want to dream about and it usually begins the way I want it to. After a little while, it gets all weird though and I lose control of it.

The only thing I can 'do' in a dream is fly. Once I just had a dream that I was flying, and got scared as I was much too high. But I came down by just thinking about it.
After that, I have 'realized' during a dream that instead of walking or driving, I can fly, so I do.
I do it all of the time now. Wish I could do it in real life!

Yes, I can also go back to a dream I was having if I wake up in the middle of it. I guess not many people can do that but I do all the time. is that weird?

Anyone can re-route a dream if they try. Most just aren't aware.
