Good question. I'd like to think the world would be so boring if there was only one type of looking person. I love the fact that people who are different from me have different cultures, beliefs, rituals. It is wonderfull to learn and that is what we do from others is learn. THe fighting comes from having different beliefs, if we could embrace others and love them and accept them the fighting would die down. However, we do have to fight for human rights. When a race is being exterminated like the jews, we have a moral obligation to step in and stop it. While we are all differnt is size shape and color, we are all from the human race and deserve to be treated with love respect and dignity. God bless.

You have asked two questions. First, why are there different "races". By that term, I presume you mean different appearances, tall, short, black, white, straight hair, curly hair & c. These are the result of isolation and interbreeding within groups. Had humanity not spread apart, and remained isolated from other groups, we would all look pretty much the same. This same phenomon can be demonstrated with plants and animals. Crops can be produced with larger, vegetables, sweeter fruits & c. Animals can be selectively bread for larger specimins. With humans, this occurred naturally.

As to why people fight, it is generally because their leadership, their politicians or their religious leader tells them that another group is their enemy. Unfortunately, they believe these criminals. The result is war.

We have different cultures. We have different religious beliefs. That's why we have different nations. Why is it that we can't enjoy peaceful relations with our neighbors? The answer is that our politicians constantly demonize another culture, or race, or religion or nationality. Their politicians do the same. They get us hating each other.

This is how politicians maintain control of their populations. It's why two street gangs will fight. It's so their leaders can maintain control.

I have been in a lot of countries. The people are the same in every country. Unfortunately, most people are stupid. They believe their leaders.

Initially, we might have divided ourselves because of cultural pride that stems from way back in time - the idea that we are made distinct because of our culture. It might also have been a term political leaders came up with to create boundaries - who they rule, who to invade, what belongs to whom.

I think we remain classified today for the purpose of convenience.
Some people develop the same physical characteristics, practices and ways of life after living in the same place for a very long time (of course, it does not apply to everyone), and it so happens that many of us desire to be able to explain things, so the idea of races was invented to lump people together and explain why we look and do certain things in certain ways without giving it too much thought.

It may also be something that makes work easier for scientists - grouping people of similar DNA together to study, say, their vulnerability to certain diseases.

So in general, the concept 'race' something to categorise with, something to make people who need certainty feel a little more certain. We invented it as a human race - the only 'race' we are truly a part of. No one else 'did it to us'. It also is up to us to do away with it if we don't like it anymore!

This is very hard to be answered. May be this is the God wishes for the humans to divided different races, talking different languages, have different thoughts and altitudes, but to communicate not fight, to cooperate for better life not hating each other. We should learn our children in schools how to love others, how to live in peace with themselves and with the surrounds, and we have to learn them that wars bring only sorrow and tears and both sides of it are losers.
