If ur hardware knownage is very less then u better take it to an engineer.

Here are the steps
1- Make the 100mb hdd master (using jumper setting) and connect it to the middle IDE connector
2- make the other hdd slave (using jumper setting) and connect it to the end of the IDE connector.

3- reboot the pc and make sure both of the hdd are conized by the pc.

4- since u already have win 98 on 100mb hdd u just have to reinstall win xp and install on the new hdd it will make all the dual bootable procedure for u.

Remember that u can install win 98 and then new windows after it if u install winXp and tried to install win98 it wil destroy the winxp.

if u can not understand the jumper setting or firqure out the ide then u r a newbiee and my advice will be to take it to a engineer

first of all a 100 mgb hd will not offer enough extra space to take the small risk of screwing something up.but if you do do not set the 100 mgb to master as the person before me said.you will want to set the one with xp to master and the other as slave.do this by looking on the back of the hd and you will see a jumper clip.you will have to look up the settings.after you do that simply put the hd in hook up power and you should have an extra connection to the mother board to hook to.....restart computer and go to my computer and make sure it is recognized...good luck

you want to substantiate some issues first. Is the newpersistent an exterior hardpersistent or an inner hardpersistent? If it really is an exterior(USB plugin), it ought to have comprise a disk to position in, so there is not any favor for a duplicate of XP. deploy software and then plug in. both drives will perform one at a time.
