my husband and i got married also in 2000 at a court house. We had a large party for our 2nd anniversary. My mom even ordered a wedding cake with the wedding top. And she had us cut the cake and took pictures. It was like a reseption. It was great. I think renewing your vows and having your sons there is great.

I think that would be a great idea for both of you. At least on your tenth anniversary, it will have a lot more meaning since it's renewing of your vows together. The best part is, if you want something fancy, you have plenty of time to save up since there's no rush on being man and wife. Good luck to you. :)

No, you are already married - whatever the circumstances were at the time. You could, however, do a vow renewal - it's just where you have a small ceremony or blessing, then have family and close friends to your home for a dinner after.

What an awesome idea! Life is meant to be enjoyed, go ahead and celebrate your years together and have a big splashy wedding!!!!! These days the majority of couples are getting divorced, you should celebrate beating the odds. Incorporating your sons is a great idea. How wonderful for them to see mom and dad enjoying their marriage and family.

I think it's a great idea. My hubby and I didn't have a big wedding when we got married.. we couldn't afford it. But we both want to have another wedding for our 25th, and this time make it the one we couldn't afford the first time.

I think it would be a great idea. You can renew your vows. Your children can be involved in anyway you want them to be. Just don't go off spending an arm and a leg for this.

For sure, it would be like renewing your love for one another, and congrats on the 10 years.
