At least 40% of new songs are based on old songs, be it samples or influences. Your new musicians look up to the oldies, so they cant be all that boring. Just open your mind a little and look further a field.

Ma be modern old music is boring, try listening to real old music of the forties/fifties big band sounds Doris Day Ect.

relies upon on your definition of old - 70s stuff like the Who? 50s stuff like the Ink Spots? 1800s classical music? To be honest i love music from all those circumstances, as well as present day stuff. some classical music is dreadful, yet so is a few present day music. pay interest to 'Dance of the Knights' with assistance from Prokofiev and tell me it truly is more advantageous powerful than 50 cent.
