because i know NOTHING about cars.
but i took my car into the shop the other day and was relieved when the mechanic told be all i needed was turn signal fluid.
does it worry you to take your car to the shop?

Oh dear, I don't think anyone answering knows much about cars. Don't get me wrong I know jack but turn signal fluid??? lol.

No as a driver of 30 years i know when i am being stiffed anyway always take it to the same mechanic or 1 recommended by a friend

Alllllll the time - I think it's like anything in life if you know nothing about it. You really ave to trust the person who does.
Garages always bug me cause I cannot see how it costs so much when the parts for cars are not that expensive!

I always get nervous when I take my car to the garage because I'm worried they will take me for a ride. But just start making sure that you go to the same garage everytime and build up a relationship with them, it means they are less likely to take you for a ride.

He's only setting you up to rip you off later. This week it's turn signal fluid, next time it will be ashtray injector modules. You'd better sleep with him now so he'll treat you like an equal.

If in doubt dont give him the work or get a second opinion.A good mechanic should charge no more than £30 an hour.

Yes it would, but luckily my husband knows quite alot about cars, if you are ever unsure take your car for a second oppinion to another mechanic.
