What do you think about living in Iowa? Is the Omaha area nice & safe? If not, any recommendation? Is racial descrimination serious there?

so iowa is pretty much a bunch of nothing. even the "big cities" of iowa aren't so great. its a pretty nice place to live to raise a family, but thats about it. as far as racial descrimination goes, its not bad in the part that i live in.

1. Omaha is not in Iowa; it's in Nebraska.
2. Omaha has a high crime rate.
3. With a few exceptions in some of the larger cities, Iowa is white although not as white as it was 50 yrs ago. Yes, there can be discrimination; I don't believe that it is any more serious than discrimination in other places.
4. Some cities in Iowa that I would consider: Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Bettendorf, Cedar Falls. Cities that I would not consider: Ottumwa, Dubuque, Davenport, Burlington, Sioux City, Mason City, Waterloo.
