OK, in aswer to your question, let me tell you why I can draw. From an early age my parents encouraged me to do so. I was praised for drawing from when I was tiny. I also had some genetic leaning that way and my mother and daughter have it too. The genetic side of things is odd because my daughter didn't discover her talent until her mid teens, but I was drawing on my potty. I guess sooner or later it will surface if it is there. As a child I used to see shapes of animals in the patterns on leaves; on the ceiling in the plaster; my eye would seek out shapes and patterns everywhere. Now why I cannot draw as well as I would like: because I don't practise as much as I should. One time I went through a period of drawing every day, far more than I would naturally feel like doing. The results were astounding, I could put the pencil on the page and get the result I wanted first time straight out of my head. So the main thing I think, is practise. Look for shapes when you have waiting time, find triangles between chairs etc. Sit with a pencil and paper when you are watching tv and draw while the commercials are on. Sketch things from memory from the screen and so on. Good Luck!

I don't like drawing while someone is watching, at least nothing more intricate than driving directions or a quickie sketch of a landscape design. I feel pressured, like I can't screw up if someone is watching or they'll think I suck, and then the tension translates to the paper and whatever I draw winds up sucking. It's stupid, but I've been like that since I was a little kid scribbling comic book characters on the backs of my school notebooks and it's no different today, 30 years later. LOL it made getting through art school a real b*tch too, lemme tell ya!

That depends on what you mean by "in front of people". If the people are watching me draw it's a little unnerving but if they're just in the same room it doesn't bother me.

No, I m never afraid of drawing in front of someone else.
We can take opinions on our drawing of the person in front of whom we r drawing.

No, not really. I actually kinda like the instant feedback. (even though I can't draw to save my life) I like doing digital art in front of someone even better, since it is something I'm actually quite good at.

well i draw quite a lot, and if it's for someone i prefer not to show them until its finished. its just a habit i guess. I've been that way since i can remember. weird for some, but it helps me to get into the piece I'm working on.
