My partner works evenings, so as a result of this, he is often up late, well after I have gone to bed. Last night, at about 1am, he downloaded mIRC. I find this weird, as he didn't tell me about it, when he usually does if he downloads something. He has also deleted the log files and the download directory aswell. Should I be concerned about this? We have had "borderline" internet fidelity issues in the past. Should I talk to him? And if so, what is the best way to approach it? We have been together 4 years and we have 2 children.

Best advice i can give is talk to him about it. communication is the key in any marriage, so if you are concerned about it talk to him, it maybe nothing and then again it might be. you will never know untill you ask.

As far as how to go about it. i would just find a quite place away from everything and just ask him what the mirc is for, and go from there. If his answers peak more questions, ask them right away.

Honestly and communications are the keys to a happy marriage

It is a wife's duty to be concerned about the welfare of her family. You have every right to be concerned about your husband's computer involvement, especially since you have had negative encounters in the past.

The computer can be dangerous and addictive. Speak with him before it goes any further, and let him know your concerns just as you have made them known to us.

mIRC is not something to worry about. I guess he's too scared of your vigilance. Give him some space.
