Did anyone else just receive a terrible threatening email from an ignoramous? What do you think they do outside of obsessing about gay life and their own self hatred?

Subject: Yahoo Answers....

Message: I look foward to the day when your kind burns completely. You may feel sheltered by the yahoo community, but it is not real world. They hate for your kind is still abudant and over-ruling, you cannot break free. In fact, If I ever see you in person, I will most likely murder you myself.

Dude,

Print a copy of the email. Send it to Yahoo Corp. in California by registered mail. Ask Yahoo to investigate the IP origin. They can trace it in a millisecond. If Yahoo doesn't reply within 7 days, get a lawyer.

Death threats via internet or any other IT method is a federal offense in the U.S.

If you need any help, email me.

ADD: Simply reporting it to Yahoo is not good enough. It's highly improbable that the sender can actually do you harm, but the LAW does not look only at the probability. If the sender's message caused mental anguish, which it did, you have all the legal grounds to file crimminal charges.

If the bus stops in any respect in Canada and we could human beings on or off, you will prefer a passport. And it is not any longer correct you're an 18 12 months old college pupil. My daughter had a passport from while she became 8. I have been given mine in 1954 while i became 3.

If he was going to murder you himself, why did he take the time to e-mail you and inform you of that? It doesn't make sense, from a criminological standpoint. I assume he fancies himself a hardcore terrorist. Still though, the retribution will be swift and brutal. Just report the freak. It's a violation of the standards of society, and yes, the law, to threaten people. Even if you can only do it online.

I agree with everybody: get Yahoo! to punish the person.

That's a terrible thing to say to somebody. You have to step up to the proper authorities and get them detained before the situation escalates. Ya never know, maybe he actually IS a murderer. Anybody who could say such violent things to a stranger is obviously not mentally stable.

Sorry you had to deal with such a moron. Best of luck.

This is the main reason why I do not list my email here. I do not want to be flooded with bigoted email from haters, against whom I take a stand. They can be extremely spiteful and vindictive when they are called on the carpet for their prejudice.

That is disgusting and pathetic. The really sad thing is they truly believe they speak the truth. Speaking such hate to you is their only way of denying their own self-hatred and of excusing themselves from recognizing your humanity and your right to live with dignity and respect.

I want to say to you that you do not deserve such treatment and that all they have cursed on you is already eating away at them. Continue to be true to yourself, there are people who will knock you down for it, but you know in your heart that you are blameless and you are right. I wish the best for you, offer my moral support to you, respect your choice of lifestyle and I hope you are never treated with such disrespect again.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. Racism, Sexism, Classism, Prejudice, Homophobia...all these things are still real issues in today's society. In a perfect world, these words wouldn't exist, but we aren't in a perfect world. All you can do is pray for people like this :(

If he's dumb enough to write that threat out, it's a miracle he hasn't choked on his own spit. Can you say lawsuit?
Report him.
