I don't know why you would end you life, but there is always something out there worth living for. If you are only 18 then you are just too young you realize that this world is very sad. You have to find the happy moments and hold on to them through the bad. Life has ups and downs and eventually it will swing up for you again. Ending you life on a bad note is a good way to make others feel your pain and pull others into the down areas of life.
It will only add more to the saddness in the world. Since you are talking and its more of a cry for help. Then all you really need to do is wait for the world to snap back into the good for you again. Think of the happy things until that time comes.

Good for you, Manudt. You are reaching out to someone. Look at all the love you're getting here! It's a very common accurance at your age to become overwelmed about life. Also, physically, it is a common time for your bodily chemicals to have a reaction ( homones kick in and can have an odd affect). Physical depression is a real malady that can be helped with medical care. We are so blessed to live during an era of such advancement. A few short years ago no one understood these things and so many felt hopeless.
As far as your personal life, find someone to confide in. Someone mature who has experienced life and understands what you feel because they were your age once.
M, truly, you are never alone. Try approaching your creator in heartfelt prayer to him. Remember He is ALWAYS there and has a deep concern for you. Give Him a try. When you consider God as an actual father you will gain unimaginable strength. What do you have to lose?

Hello.
I'm 17 and i've been in this situation before. I can empathis quite well.
In the last 3months of 2006, my small town of less than 100,000 people, we had more than 10suicides. I knew 3 of those.
I'm very passionate about this issue because of that.
I can convince you not to kill yourself.
I don't believe in any religious head figures or etc. I'm not going to suggest any church groups.
But what I will suggest is this...
Write down your feelings. Just let them all come out. DO NOT RE READ WHAT YOU WROTE! Trust me! Just burn your writing when your finished.
Visit your doctor. Tell him your worried about low levels of mood lately and you'd like to try on some anti-depressants. (I know, it's horrible to actually admit this to someone but you must do this in order to get better.) The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.
Thirdly, exercise works wonders for our bodies. When we exercise we release a chemical called endorphins which is a natural mood improver. Go for a run, jog, walk.... Whatever, just get outside, get some fresh air!! Or grab yourself a punching bag, pretend its your mum/brother/ex- boyfriend... anyone you want to take the anger out on.
There are many other factors to improving mental health such as your diet (try and have a high fruit and vege intake, espcially berries), 8glasses of water (it flushes out toxins), a good night sleep, limit alcohol and no drugs or cigarettes.
Make sure you surround your self with positive people and make positive choices!
I've been there, for the last 3years. It is so hard. I know it isn't easy at all.
I'm free to talk, when ever. Just email me.
I'm 17.

You're very cryptic about what's brought you to this, but whatever it is, I bet it's not worth dying for, cos NOTHING IS. I don't want to appear unkind but committing suicide is the ultimate selfish act, Just think about the people's lives you've touched over the years, and what about your family and friends, whose lives would be shattered if you were to go out like that. I'm not speaking as an outsider looking in, I know what it feels like to be at that jumping off place where everything closes in, and death seems the only option, but you can get over it. It seems to me that it's only very sensitive people who suffer so badly with depression, and the main reason is that they invest so much of their time in other people that they have no time to concentrate on themselves and what's really happening with their emotions and consequently they forget how to love and take care of themselves, and I reckon you're probably no exception. you need to concentrate on you, pamper yourself, and do whatever it takes to get better. See a Doctor who will help you get Councelling, join a Support Group, start a College Course, go to the Gym, join a Spiritual Group or something similar. And please don't be alone with your feelings cos it just makes things worse. I hope you overcome this, I really do.

You are just beginning your life. At 18 years old, you have so much to experience and to look forward to. Your life will change so much in the next 10 yrs or so. As you get out on your own and start to follow your dreams and goals you will find that life is definitely worth living. Each new day you wake up is a chance to start over...a clean slate. Yesterday is gone and today is all that matters. Please hang in there. I am in my 30's and can only say that you have so much to live for. Don;t be afraid of your future....look forward to experiencing exciting new things in life. You have a purpose here. You may have just not found it yet. Never give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I can because I was in the same position in December 2002. I believed that my spirit had already died and it was just a matter of disposing of the body. I was so wrong! Things changed and turned around about 2 months after my suicide attempt. BTW spare a thought for those who have to clean up after and then tell all your family and mates. I recently had a bad bout of depression so I went straight to get medical help. I'm sure glad you're alive, yeah?

You almost certainly are experiencing severe depression, and the best place to go to begin helping yourself is your doctor, who may give you a referral for counselling and prescribe medication. Because that medication may take some time to be effective, practice for 20 mins daily, and whenever needed, the method at http://www.selfhelpmagazine.com Meditation room; try it out; mantra meditation; repeat: "easy". Tai Chi or yoga suits others better. Work your way slowly up to 30 - 60 mins of vigorous exercise daily, eat healthily, and keep occupied. Keep these written down in case needed: 1800 life net & http://www.suicidepreventionhotline.org/ See http://www.beattheblues.info/? & www.depression.com/-

1) An undisciplined mind achieves little. The main thing--is to keep the main thing-- the Main Thing!
2) There are two reasons why people do not achieve their goals. One, the goal wasn't really that important to them. Or they didn't break it down into small manageable steps.
3) "If you are in harmony with yourself, you can meet alion without fear. He respects anyone with self-confidence."--Nelson Mandela
4) Do not ask God to guide your feet if you are not willing to move your feet.
5) There is no key to happiness. The door is always open. Laugh everyday. It's like inner jogging.
Never feel alone, you are the garden of life, without you how can a man be defeated without your strength? Life is to be shared, you are loved always in allways.
