I've known girls who didn't get it until they were 17. Relax, enjoy the time you have without having to deal with that headache. It'll come soon enough.

The average age for a girl to start her period is around 12 or 13 years old but as some of the other posters said some don't start their period til 16 years old.

It's perfectly normal. As everyone else said, it could be as late as 16 or 17. It's just that nowadays most girls have gotten it by the time they are 13. But 9 or 10 is really early, nevertheless.

my wife didn't get hers till she was 16 and she's 5'9" and a knockout, it's usually the ugg ugg hefers who get their periods at 9 years old.
