You could download a trustworthy spyware removing program. Also, another way to check is by checking your registry for any weird values, or by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE. This will open a Windows Task Manager, click processes, and see for any obvious values, if there are none, check the process library, and search for the files you think is spyware. You could just download Windows Security Task Manager and see which ones are dangerous. You could also run HijackThis and search for all the files you have.

the way you find out is to fellow these steps
1 go to mycomputer
2 go to all programs
3 check if there any programs you dont want. For Example,
if you see a program that saids " fun program" get rid of it
4 after you do that take it to your local best buy and tell them your problem and they would have no problem making sure evething is gone...

He may have direct access to your email address i.e. Knows your user id and password so he can open it up on his machine. In this case, you can change your password to something he is unlikely to guess.

If this is the case, then formatting your PC and re-installing everything wouldn't help in the slightest. I agree with the user who said that you should make something really juicy up and see if he picks up on it. This would tell if he is really spying on you !

Hope this helps

Download what is important to you onto some CD disks. It's mostly like pictures, files, etc.

Then ask your computer to erase the hard drive and reboot when it's done (if you don't trust yourself to do this, then Best Buy will do it for about 60$). Then all you have left is what you kept on your disks and you can reinstall them after its done.

Privacy is important and your husband is a scum bag for even trying to spy on you after he left you.

My ex tried to spy and kept sending me court papers to try to scare me. Men are such infants sometimes.

Find an online scanner that detects that sort of thing. Or if you want to be 100% sure it is gone, just reinstall your windows system, problem solved.

You could always do something really juicy and see if he calls you on it... like tell your best girlfriend what you are going to do, then email her and tell her you are pregnant with triplets and don't know how to break it to your husband or something.
