Your period should return as normal. The doctor told me 4 to 6 weeks.

Sweetheart I don't know where you are getting your information from! Firstly don't let a 8 week old baby cry, that is way too young to start any controlled crying! You will probably have to feed your baby every 2 or 3 hours at the moment sometimes more! Breastfed babies don't fill up as much as bottle fed babies! I know how tired you are believe me I have 4 kids 2 were born 7 weeks early with feeding problems. My 1st baby was such a slow sucker due to being early he would take 1 hour and 30 mins to drink his bottle. Even after that no kidding he would only sleep with a dummy which i would have to put in about 20 times a night! My recommendations are.. 1 .. Relax and accept you will be tired, sleep in the day if you can with baby to catch up! Forget the housework! 2...If possible try a bottle of formula for bottle before bed, the rest breast feed. It may fill baby up more. 3.. As your breatfeeding are you feeding baby whilst you are lying down? It may help with tiredness! Good luck, remember this is normal you must try and get others to help when you can and try and eat and drink healthy foods! I know how you feel you are not alone!

I went through D&C on 15th Feb and got my period last week (15th March) 4 weeks later. It was much heavier but lasted same as usual (I finished yest) and had bad cramps. Dont worry it will come, I know how important that first period is! Its not just a period its your sign that everthings ok and back to normal! Take care.

My period came back 6 weeks after my D&C. It was no more painful than usual but I had it for longer (about 10 days). I must have been incredibly fertile cos my partner and I had sex near the end of my bleeding and I fell pregnant! My baby was actually due this past Friday but so far Bub is staying put.

After a D&C it takes 6 weeks before you get your 'period',
at that time, consider this the beginning of your new regular period!

Everyone is different... When I have had it done, I have had it return to normal immediately, although maybe a bit heavier & harsher cramps...Don't panic if it doesn't return to normal for you. Wait & see how you feel.
