I started my on-line business 3 years ago. I started in front of this computer. I had no money. Just an Idea. To think cost you nothing. Depending on how you react can cost you everything!
First, get organized. Clean your pc of any non-productive stuff. Set your desk up with office supplies. Don't buy any thing extra. Scour your home for your essentials. Note pads, scissors, pens, pencils.
Think of a Name for your business. Go to Yahoo free websites and make a website. Yahoo also has Domain names for $1.99 .
If you don't have a land line and cant designate a line for business use then be prepared to answer your cell number with the number you give. If you have xp on your PC set up your office accounts through this. It cost you nothing because its came with your PC. Why not use it. Buy some business cards and make them on your pc. Estimated cost $20.00 its great advertisement. My county license were only $5.00 and my city $46.00. Its just paper work from there on out.
You can go to the Chambers of Commerce and get a free list of all the business in the entire city. Most of them have Company addresses or Email addresses.
I made my website and before I knew it suppliers called me. As well as customers. The old saying, " You must crawl before you can walk," is so true. It will start slow and you work it from there.
The secret is buy only what you need and when you really have to spend money spend it on the customer. You will see a return in your investment. Best of luck to you.
