Doing this would require a breaking of the digital millenium copywrite act because you would have to break the copy protection on the disc if it was a commercial disc. I will assume that you are ripping privately made discs. Ripping just means copying a disc to your computer. To do this on a PC I would use auto gordian knot or dvd shrink. On a mac I would use handbrake. Google or Yahoo either of these and follow the instructions. Then use PSP Video 9 to put them on the PSP

Yes. You need software to do so.

There are software like Magic DVD Ripper allows you to rip you DVD and convert it to PSP format. But you have to paid for it.

For free solution, you need 2 steps. First ripping your DVD using DVD Decrypter and then convert it to PSP format using PSP Video 9.

PS: Average movie size is about 400 - 700 MB. Make sure you have large enough memory card to hold it.

the best way to do this to save space on your PSP would be to rip the movie to an MPG (MPEG) file and then convert it to whatever format the PSP uses (I think it can use 3gp which is a very good format) to convert to 3gp use mpegable which works extremely well. I dont know what program to use for ripping to MPG or what resolution and bitrate to use for the PSP as I dont have one

ok what you pick is DVDFab Decrypter that's a banned software so which you have a tricky time downloading it.then as quickly as its achieved downloading on your workstation. use your "plato dvd to psp converter" on the downloaded record toput it on your psp

no u dnt need ny software just plug in the psp in to the computer and open the folder and paste the movie inside it it wrked in my one nicely
