Matt I've often wondered the same thing. You are a special person for asking such a great question. My answer is this. I believe Kobe "quieffs" into a cup and bring it up to his nose prior to a large inhalation. However, for someone with their head already faaaar up his backside, I find the extra effort with the cup a waste of time. Kobe is sending a clear message to the rest of the NBA with his "sportsmanship smacks" as I like to call them. The message is simple: "White man can't jump, but if somehow one blocks my shot, prepare to recieve a nose injury in retaliation. I shoot 50-66 times per game and I cant have people putting their hands in my way." I mean thats what I gather. Its a simple message. I know when someone out plays me on the pickup court, I simply cut his/her brakes in the parking lot. Same logic. I hope this halped you Matt cause like the rest of the country outside if LA....We hate him....with a passion.
