The one who feels overpowered by the other. Or the one who just hates arguing. Or the one who believes arguments solve nothing and are waiting for the opportunity to plead their case when the partner is open to a calm discussion. Or the one who is more mature knowing that arguments solve nothing.....that two people are equals in a relationship and both have opinions that need to be respected. Take your pick, and depending on what kind of relationship you have with your spouse, lets hope the last is true.

Usually its me who gives in - not a good precedent to set I know, but thankfully we dont argue too often...hubby just sulks but holds firm, I usually rage on and end up giving in in the end....
