I wan't to know if a guy who isn't a minor get in trouble for getting a minor (17 yrs old specifically) pregnant even if he has the minors parents permission to be sexually active with their daughter in the state of wisconsin. He is 19 and she is 17. I need a site to go to that shows proof of this also. thank you.

The age of consent in Wisconsin is 18. The exception to that is if the underage person is 16 or older, and married to the person they're having sex with. Some states have rules that even if a person is under the age of consent, with a two year or less age difference, it is not a crime...Wisconsin doesn't have a rule like that, so he could be in trouble. The parents don't have the right to give consent for the man to have sex with their daughter. Probably nothing will come of it, unless the girl's parents make a police report. If he did get in trouble, the maximum punishment is 9 months in a state prison.

Statutory rape laws are pursued more vigorously if there is a larger gap in age. If she's pregnant, and they get married, probably not going to be an issue. The people who would be most likely to bring up charges are the parents of the minor girl, so if they are fine with it, I'm not sure who is going to be calling the police!

It is still illegal, regardless of age. But then again, if you and your bf are both 18, and he turns 19 the month before you, for a month it is illegal. If your parents don't press charges, then nothing happens however, and a lot of the time a judge will use his discretion in court when prosecuting when two people are around that age.

The only people who should be pressing charges are your parents, and if they are okay with it, it shouldn't be an issue.

yes you can...
go to Wisconsin.gov and look up the state statutes...that will give a definition of everything that you want to know...
a parent can not give permission for you to break the law, even if it is for their minor daughter...they could even be charged with reckless endangerment of their minor child for letting you have sex with her
sorry, but you may be arrested and convicted as a sexual predator or offender

WI will not bother in this case as she is not under 16 and he is not much older, esp with a baby involved. The most it would be is a misdemeanor in WI you pay a fine and that's about it, under 16 is a felony and statutory rape in WI. But I know for a fact there will be no problems in your situation especially since her parents are supportive. You have little to worry about.

Wow.There should be an exception when they are both so young and so close in age.
Laws in that case are ridiculous.
Who in HS has'nt liked or dated "the older guy"?
So unfair..not like he's some creepy chid molester or something..hes a child too.

Ever heard of geting married? It's this strange riual that makes it legal for two people to have sex - no trouble at all. No marriage - 18 years of child support.

He could get in trouble since she is still legally a child and he is an adult.
