I think that everyone has their own 'heroes' of their life, maybe teachers, parents, public figure, or even a stranger. Someone that you always respected and think highly about. Some people even inspired by their lives and want to be just like them.
I personally think that there're many figures that become my inspirations and I adore them.
1. Pramoedya Ananta Toer (a great novelist from my country)
2. Oprah
3. JJ Abrams
4. and my teacher
I think they're great and each of them doing what they're believe in and become great in what they're doing. So what I learn from them is,
'living is about dreaming and achieving'

Its difficult for me to point a single figure as as I'm aging I find inspiration in the unlikeliest of places ,people & circumstances. But I think words inspire me the most .

My greatest role model of all time is Zadie Smith. She's a black briton who wrote her first novel "White Teeth" at 24 and won like 7 awards for it. Her two other books, "The Authograph Man" and "On Beauty" have won as many awards as W.T. The best thing about Smith is that, unlike many a famous writer who turns sour once they get famous, she got better with age, like a good wine :). Reading her book brought back my desire to be a writer, which i gave up about ten years ago in pursuit of other less satisfying dreams, just because i thought i couldn't make it. Not only that, she's made me realize that i may actually have something new to say in the sphere. I love her and I hope she'd change people, in her writing, the way she did me. Wiki her and you'd read some of her essays for free.

My biggest inspiration right now is my boyfriend. I've written 50 songs since I've met him. Sometimes I'll get angry or frustrated or sad with him, these often inspire the best, most powerful songs. It's harder to write when I'm happy though I have managed to write some happy love songs too. He makes me feel so alive. Even though we have our ups & downs I wouldn't trade it for the world.

My greatest inspiration had been my dad( passed away last yr)who instilled in me love for mankind. With a lifelong motto of helping people in distress inspite of his own tough times, he was a true source of inspiration for all who met him.My present source of inspiration is the president of our country(India) Dr Abdul Kalam who's dictum is " see dreams & make them come true.
