Pls. don't assume all Indians are attracted towards western...some percentage might be...for example 30% ..let me ask you.....for what we have to follow them or in what base they are thinking that westerners are great? who ever comes under that 30% (as I mentioned before) should study or understand our own country...can they imagine where India s place in economy wise? or culture wise? or education wise? or what is not available in India? super power like America is also got thousands of poor people, un educated.,job less, starving for food...do you believe it...?

May I answer this from the Western perspective? Whatever cultures I come into contact with adds something to me but does not take away the essence of my own culture--a man born in England of Scottish parents. You might find me indistinguishable from an American by the way I dress, but I am still who I am. I adore Indian food and think that Indian culture has contributed an invaluable vibrancy and spirituality to my society in terms of religion, music literature, poetry etc, I experience it as the person I am.

The Gujarati poet--Sujata Bhatt--who now lives in England has written a poem concerning the intertwining of cultures called 'Search For My Tongue', which illuminates some of the deep ambiguities of these issues.

We, at individual level can not solve this problem. As a small measure in our home we can practise the traditional culture and make our children understand the greatness of our culture. Due to advancement in Communication Technology, Computer and Internet, even children from Indian homes are exposed to the negative influences of western culture. TV is the biggest culprit in spoiling the mind of our children and youth. I am constrained to note that even the so called Elders relish watching TV programmes endlessly to pass time. Naturally children also are addicted to this vice. Our great culture succumb through this electronic gadgets, mobile phone, satellite cable networks. Government is a mute spectator to this cultural murder. Only great saints and seers and great one like Shri Sathya Sai Baba, Sri Ramakrishna, Shri Vivekananda and Mata Amritanandamayi and many such Gurus can only open the eyes of our youth to our great culture and prevent the young from falling into western culture. nagarajan.

India is a cultural soup.
there were many invasions and invaders came from west of India and they bring their culture, art with them which were imposed or accepted by us .
India has never invaded any country but has spread message of love and peace, yoga and philosophy.
then we are victims of modern invasions of constant bombardment of commercials of western products, cinema, soap opera, etc.
we always like to change our lifestyle not only because we are bored but to add spice to life.
what India is today is a unique mixture of Indian and western culture.

Slave mentality and lack of national pride.
To resolve you must create greater levels of understanding of our great traditions and culture as well as their basis and values attached. This would first need hard work from us as you can only teach if you believe and practice else it gets lost as mere preaching with no impact.

You should watch Russel Peter's statement on size and efficiency of a black penis. You will understand why Indian ladies don't dig for black men.
