How much longer will black people be able to use the race card to get away with murder ?

Why should they be exempt from punishment just because of what some white people did hundreds of years ago? How long will they milk it before it's no longer usable?

Yeah, and someone brought up a good point the other day about the rest of the dark past of the US. As bad as slavery may have been, what about the company towns and what the immigrant workers were put through back in those times too? Nobody talks much about that, and those folks had it worse than anyone if you read the history on it. Unfortunately at this point we are told to be sensitive and considerate to everybody and this enables people to play all sorts of cards to do whatever they want. There is little to no shame, moral compass, or accountability for anything in this country anymore and it needs to stop. We see where it's headed, it's time to do something now before it really is too late. Get involved in your local gov't and work with your locals to try to turn things around. Get people educated. It's alot of aggravation because things have been allowed to go so very far, but it's the only legal way to fix it.

I think eventually we will have a more global world and the human race will be "gray" - totally mixed. Did you know that the number one reason for a black man' s death is a gunshot. A gunshot which was discharged by another black man. (this is up until the age of 25). This is pitiful!! Yes, the stats for certain minorities are bad . But I don't think the answer lies in other people. I think it lies in the minorities themselves. They must start taking pride in themselves and buying into the norms of society. Every ethnic group has been enslaved at one time or another in history. Yes, even the white race and the Jews and the Chinese, etc. etc. It doesn't seem to hold most people up or keep them from moving on. I see so many minorities today enslaving themselves into poverty and drugs and the welfare system. The biggest enemy of many minorities is their very own people. But I can tell from the comments here that we still think of one another as "us" and "them". And I guess in a way that's a natural thing. But I really hate to hear a black American refer to himself/herself as an Afro-american. Why can't they just be a 100%, fully qualified, prime time AMERICAN. To me, this just encourages the "us" and "them" attitude.

wow...you sound jealous to me. why that is...i have no idea. no offense, but i take it as a privilege from the Lord to be Black. not everyone has the strength to put up with the everyday ridicule and suspicion from ignorant people such as yourself. When the ratio to white and blacks are even in the united states. I get tired of hearing the whole race thing. It is like being back in high school. Just think the only difference about it, is skin color. Thank God we not a multi race with different intelligent beings running around on earth.

its not just slavery. its the entire American culture. black people will always use the race card because racism will always be a problem. the complexion (pun intended) of American society is changing rapidly with the large influx of Latino populations. black people are becoming even more marginalized because soon this new minority population will be greater in number than the african-american population. latinos are displacing blacks in their communties and also taking their jobs. so now we have a threeway of racism.
