Yes, most councils will give you a grant, they don't advertise it! Speak to the environmental department I think it is, if not they should be able to help you. (or have a look on their web site, they should have one) I had my walls insulated and extra lagging in the loft and the tanks etc. They will pay a percentage, you have to use a company that they will put the work through, few forms to fill in, and send off, but does help out!

How about the concept of self sufficiency instead of looking for a handout try looking for a job and buy your own insulation then go to the library, get a book on installing it and put it in yourself after work. Grant me this!
