I once knew of a book written by one of the most successful salesmen ever, (I believe a former car salesman) -- not confessions of a Car Salesman, btw. Any thoughts, I need to find this book.

Though it does not specifically deal with car sales, I would recommend that you pick up "How to Win Friends and Influence People". Dale Carnegie started out life as a saleman, and the principles he outlined for developing relationships with people is very applicable to sales, as well as to other professions where one needs to develop trust with others.
