Who did the same with IRAQ, and Saddam Hussein?
Who gave Saddam Chemical weapons?

Who created an alliance with IRAQ agianst Iran, then broke the Alliance as we flipped on IRAQ eventually, and left hundreds of thousands to be slaughtered?

If we dont understand our history, and what is never forgotten in the minds of these peopel that hate us, how can we ever understand them or expect them to understand us?
Which would ultimatey bring about a compromise of some sort that resembles peace in some way?

Or do we just go to war, slaughter them, because we are so much stronger then they are?

Hey Matt....the CIA was heavily involved in supplying Al Qaeda with money and weapons. The same goes for the Taliban. Osama Bin Laden's CIA operative name was Tim Osmond. Look it up.

The world was a different place in the 1980s one has to understand that before they point blame . in the 1980s we funded the now called taliban since it was fighting our cold war enemy russia it essencially drained their coffers fighting them.. and in some respects caused the fall of russia and the end of the cold war

we sold about 3% of the weapons that iraq received between 2 evils iraq ans iran we chose iraq since we were jsut coming off the iran hostage crisis if you remeber that or were even born back then. as the world changes alliances are made then broken that would be like saying why would england be friends with france when the french have attacked them so much in the past, times change alliances can get stronger or fallapart

Wow for that matter we were allied with the Soviets in WW2 and gave them money and arms and tank engines and ships! In fact 2 Americans gave them the plans to the Nukes! Big deal! Osama probably put up much of the money from his share of the family fortune (bin Ladens made a pile in the construction business). Hussein got his money from kickbacks in the Oil for Food program, thanks to having paid something like a billion dollars in bribes. (Why do you think Russia and other countries refused to crack down on Iraq? They had all been bought and paid for by Saddam.) There was so much money that Saddam literally did not know what to do with it; he spent billions on palaces, but about a billion dollars was found in cash.

how much longer do you think we can afford such actions? a major contributor to the fall of the soviet union was their afghan war. they poured so much of their resource into afghanistan that it weakened their economy. kinda like what's happening in usa today..

the US never had an alliance with al qaeda, you screwball. i suggest YOU learn about our history. The US helped fund the mujahadeen against the soviets in the 80s, however al qaeda wasn't founded until long after that war ended. It originally was started as a support group for wounded mujahadeen vets and had zero support from the US. You are an embarrassment to yourself and your family. I weep for your ignorance.
