It would be unwise to have a charity assist you with writing your will. Depending on where you are located, you would either have a Wills & Estates lawyer (not a family lawyer) prepare your will on your behalf, or if you are located in British Columbia, Quebec or in New Orleans, a Notary Public can prepare your will for you.

fengirl has a better answer than Kirsty. A charity would not draft your will for you, but certain firms of solicitors will donate their legal fees to charity. We used Willaid a few years ago (I'm assuming you're British). Look at their site and see what sort of projects they support, and a list of solicitors in the scheme.

A Will is a legal document and a charity is unlikely to be insured to be able to take on the risk of drawing up such a document.
However, go to http://www.willaid.org.uk/ - this is a scheme where solicitors will donate to one of the causes listed on the site if you draw up a Will with them.

Kirsty M is right, as usual.

Writing a will is quite straightforward, and if you use the links she supplied, you should have no problems at all.

However, if there is somrthing on the Will Document that you do not understand then this is the place to find the answer.

There is also a Will making Kit c/w a CD on sale in Tesco.

What a fine philanthropist you are. I suggest seeking legal advice to assist you as it may be invalid if not correctly legally worded and witnessed.

If I may- may I suggest you donate your money to a British
charity for British people- even the Humane Society- or the National Trust/ Heritage.
Charity begins at home, my fine fellow.

Hello,

I think if you get a charity to help you they will heavily pressure you to leave a large sum of money to them in your will. Thats fine as long as thats what you want?

I have found some websites that may be able to help you.
