What is the statue of limitations on statuatory rape in NYS.?

Age of consent may be 17, but s.o.l. refers to how long after the crime, you can still be charged. Not for sure, but I would be willing to bet that once the person turns 18, there's nothing to worry about.

I guess the first two posters did not read the Q. The statute of limitations is 5 years.

I think new York is under 17 years old.
