Im wanting to start up my own business doing it.
Say for example a printer?? Would i need permission from the manufactuer or not??

I would ask my lawyer, but saving $275 an hr to ask here first id a good start saver :P

Hardware yes...software no.

I wouldnt see why it isnt legal. You buy a computer and can sell it to to another person. Hertz rents cars, im sure the car companies dont get a cut of that.

But to be sure, id check local laws. Each state and county is always different.

yes it is legal to rent out computer hardware just like renting a car
